Dearest Third Cousin,

This post has been a long time coming, maybe a year and a half actually. This little blog we love so much has been an amazing platform and launch for so many opportunities and experiences but its time for a change. My Third Cousin is currently undergoing many changes, a change of pace, content and personnel. My third cousin, the person not the blog, will be stepping aside and in her place a new blog format will emerge, soon. Its going to be different but more in line with my current and prevailing interests in fashion, design and generally things that look great. Keep your eyes peeled for this new venture which is going to launch in the next week or so.  

Thanks to everyone who has made My Third Cousin what it is, thanks to the contributors, supporters and most of all thanks to everyone who has stopped by and read our blog. Its been a wild two and a half years but we both want to change, grow and try something a little bit different. Hope to see you there.

Dearest Third Cousin,

I wore this last Friday, just at the beginning of this magnificent hot spell. I'm in love with these boots I got as a graduation present from my parents, stocked by the awesome Folkster, so in love with their shoe selection.

Dazzle

Dearest Third Cousin,

Pink can be quite an intimidating colour but this editorial featuring Harriet Verney, niece of the one and only Isabella Blow, really caught my imagination. The use of colour in this shoot got me thinking about all the beautiful hologram and mermaid-esque photos I've been hoarding over the past few weeks. Silver, blue/green sequins and hologram are the perfect adornment to any outfit, I really love this kind of dazzle dressed down over a pair of boyfriend jeans, under a leather jacket or with a plain t-shirt.

While Rihanna is doing the hologram trend so right above, so is this remix of Stay. It's been on repeat while putting this post together and it just feels so right for this trend.

White Leather

Dearest Third Cousin,

White leather is just so great, it feels really fresh and its such a nice change from black. If your on the hunt ebay is your friend, there are some stunning and quite affordable items on there. I may be purchasing a cropped white leather jacket very soon.
